In the achives of Uxbridge a booklet quotes Little Britain
( no doubt a nick name) referring to the Hamlet between
Uxbridge and West Drayton with its large lake
and the Rivers Fray and Colne.
With the lakeside alder and hawthorn trees it is still
popular for angling and bird watching.
The Lodge Crest depicts the lake and its features
with the addition of two sheaves of corn.
